Grady is SIX MONTHS!

It truly seems like yesterday that I was delivering our perfect 8 pound 12 ounce son Grady, and now he is half way through his first year! He continues to be the light of our lives and the most happy little guy around.

He weighs 16 pounds 11 ounces, 28 inches long now and is wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers. We still love nursing and show no signs of slowing, thank goodness. He doesn't seem to be teething at all yet, so we have that to look forward to!

He loves to jump in his jumperoo, swing at the park and be held and thrown around by his amazing daddy.

We started solids this month as well! Avocado was first up and well, it wasn't his fave. I tried it straight first and he hated it so I tried it with breast milk next and...he really hated it!

Next up, per his pediatrician's suggestion was the "yellows" (sweet potato, carrots and squash) and so far he loves sweet potatoes!

After the yellows we will do fruit then the greens, probably mixed with fruits and veggies he has already tried and enjoyed.

Being that this isn't our first (or second!) rodeo, we know that the next 6 months will bring teething, sitting up, crawling, cruising, talking and too much growing up. As excited as I am to see this little guy continue to grow and change, it is bittersweet to pack away some of his baby clothes and say goodbye to my last baby and hello to yet another toddler.
The first year of a baby's life is so wonderful and special and far too short.
OK, now I am going to snuggle my baby boy and sniff his little head and smooch his tiny toes because I know that too soon he will be running away from me and covered in dirt and yogurt.
*sigh*

Grady is 5 months

Time slow down! Grady Alexander is 5 months old and truly the smiliest, happiest, most easy-going baby ever. Definitely of the 3 of our kids. He is still waking up once or twice a night which I am starting to get used to, haha. Nursing is still going very well and I am looking forward to keeping it up for the whole year.

Grady is rolling around and sits up well in his highchair but not quite on his own yet. His sisters delight in making him laugh and he adores watching them twirl around him in their chaotic way.

We did some fun things with our little man this month! We went to the SDSU v UofA March Madness game at Honda Center and it was so fun! It was really loud but Grady was a champ and seemed to enjoy all the action until he he fell asleep in the Ergo.

It was also Grady's first St Patricks Day! We went ot our 3rd annual St Pat's playgroup party at Juliann's and Grady got to swing for the first time!

Love my little man :)
