Weekend with the Colemans

We had the BEST weekend with my best friend and her family. Court, Brian, Abbie and Reese came down on Friday afternoon and stayed the weekend. We filled up the kiddie pool in the backyard and Abbie and Avery had a great time playing out there with their daddy's, while Court and I stayed inside with the babies and had a great time (not texting!) catching up. Court was able to meet little miss Harper, and we got to see how much Reese has grown since we last saw her! Alex has a full-blown crush on that little girl, which is easy to understand as soon as you meet her sweet little self. I wish we had taken pics of that little beauty.

Friday night we loaded up the kids and met Courtney's and my friends from the dorms at SDSU, Erik and Tyson and their wives, Torey and Kat. We were a big group with 5 kids among us so it was pretty hectic, but we were glad to have seen them and it was better than cooking at home!

Saturday we went to LEGOLAND! The weather was great (a little chilly for the desert-folk!) and the kids had a great time at the park. When they passed out, we headed home and enjoyed laying out and playing in the backyard the rest of the afternoon. Courtney's sister and her boyfriend live downtown, and her parents were staying with them for the weekend, so we had them all over for a casual dinner that night. It was great to see them all, especially my "second Momma" and introduce her to baby Harper.

All in all, it was a super fun and suprisingly relaxing weekend. The girls had a total blast playing together and I cherish every moment I can spend with my best friend who lives so far away.

We can't wait for the next time we can get the families together!

Harper Joy, 1 month

I can't believe it has only been 1 month since my baby girl has arrived! It feels like she has always been here...not sure what that says about this past month but I have really enjoyed it! I am getting to know our newest addition more every day and she is getting cuter by the minute!
This month has been one of adjustments to our schedule and introducing our baby girl to friends and family.

Harper weighs about 10+ lbs (at her 2 week appointment she was 9lb 15oz, so that is a guess), and has grown out of N diapers and NB clothes. She is a great nurser and sleeper, giving me a solid 6-7 hours every night. She loves getting a bath and listening to music calms and soothes her. She does NOT like the pacifier (she prefers me as a pacifier, not ideal) and so far she also does not like the bottle, which is definitely a problem. She is still sleeping in her pack n play in our room but I have started to put her in her crib for naps, so I think she will be in her own room at night by the end of her second month.

Harper has fit right into our busy family, going to parks, playdates and she even went to Legoland this past weekend (more on that in the next post!)

Enjoy her 1 month pictures!
